Can you believe that I actually get paid to write about videogames? I've been writing for Strategy Gamer for several months now, and I still find it hard to believe.

I've written for fairly major publications before but usually in the context of broader, less specific and less targeted content. Ask me to co-write a book with you about games or that is a game and I'm your guy. Ask me to help design your game and I'm your guy. Ask me to help run your call-in talk show about highly-libertarian politics and I'm your guy (or about videogames, if we want to be consistent).

From an emotional point of view, I'm enjoying it quite a lot. I get to talk to an audience which may or may not care about what I have to say – so pretty much standard as far as blogging and broadcasting go in the first place. I get to play things and then talk about it, which is amazing. And I get to receive money for the privilege, which I then turn around and plug right back into buying more games.

A sensible person might say I had a problem.

Luckily, no one around here is sensible.

But I will remind you that if this is the sort of content you like and you would like to see more of it in what is pretty close to mainstream press, let me know. Leave a comment here. Up vote. Tell me what sort of thing you want to see more of, let me know what kind of strategy or wargame that's come out that you would love to see someone talk about that hasn't been on either Strategy Gamer or Wargamer and if I can possibly work it in and get it by the editor, I'll do so.
