Top 5 New Interesting Steam Games - 16th January 2020

Thanks for this fun and creative list of games. I'll check them out. Someone with your knowledge and expertise could tackle these questions: What are the top 5 steem-based games of 2020 and why? In addition to game play, what makes these games particularly great in the context of Steem, cryptocurrency, and blockchain technology? Unfortunately, my knowledge of these matters is severely limited. My eyes tend to cross-over when reading about cryptocurrency and blockchain tech, so I wish someone could explain it in more practical (and fun) terms.

I have been looking at Steem based games and a large number of them are card games. And to be honest, in comparison with the big titles out there like Hearthstone or Magic: The Gathering Online, they just suck.

I don't want to be mean, but while they are good in the sense that they experiment with integrating crypto with gaming, gameplay-wise, player base-wise, and fun-wise they just do not hold up to the big brand counterparts.

Until someone can make a game that is primarily focused on gameplay and THEN adds on crypto as a way of monetazation/added mechanic it will never really be a big hit among the general public.

I guess there's still a long way to go before the potential of crypto in the gaming sphere is realized.

IMO - it wouldn't be that hard to use crypto in gaming, its just that the people who are good at making games want to do it, they do not have the trust in crypto yet.

And those who have the trust in crypto really do not have the skills to do games that well.
