@Ma1neEvent (pronounced Maine-Event) Here with you, a huge fan of Retro Video Games!
I have been playing video games since I was a kid. My dad presented me with an Original Nintendo NES back in about 1988. I remember getting it as a Christmas gift, and playing the original Ghostbusters game, Karate Kid, and of course, Super Mario.
Over the last six months or so, I have begun collecting retro video games again. I have managed to get a pretty nice game room set up with a classic CRT TV, and nearly every console from the NES up to the Playstation 2. I was primarily a Sega Genesis kid growing up, so I have a sweet spot for that console. The Nintendo 64 is also a close second favorite. I also enjoy collecting the various Light Gun games from all of the consoles as well. It's like having my own personal arcade!
In addition to the original consoles, I do have a Retron 5 as well so that I can play the original old school games with original controllers, but with upgraded graphics on an HDTV. I often still go back to the originals though... the classics are always the best.

I am curious to see how many Retro Gamers are on Steemit. I tried to blog about this topic when I first joined back around May 2017, but I didn't get a lot of traction with it. I am hoping now that I have a few more followers I may connect with a few more people with this post. I would love to hear your favorite games and systems, or passion for Retro Gaming!
I collect and look for Retro Games often, so I will try to blog more about my finds at flea markets, Garage sales, and gems I can manage to find online as well.

Hey there! Just came across this post when I was searching for retro video games. I am a collector/lover of the old stuff! I love both Nintendo and Sega (especially 3rd gen to 6th gen console iteration), I have always been more partial to the Sega since that was what I had growing up - anyone remembers the Sega Channel??
My collection is alittle over 1100 games consisting of Sega Master System, Genesis, Sega CD, 32x, Saturn, Dreamcast, NES, SNES, 64, GC, Wii, Virtual Boy, PS1 and PS2.
I will be posting and talking shop about the retro gaming community in the near future. Look forward to any Retro gamer's content!!

Ever since receiving my first Nintendo Super Family Computer as a kid I have been hooked ever since.
I even bought last year the rereleased mini Famicom with such games like Circus Charlie, Battle city and Excite Bike.
Oh how I remember the excitement of finishing your first Super Mario game and your frustrations in Adventure Island haha.

my favorite system was the Doomed Dreamcast-- it was sooooooo next level at the time-- but yes I got the NES I think in 1988 as well, with Spyhunter, Duckhunt, Mario, and Top Gun LOL-- upvoted and following!

I never was much of a gamer, but I did like the original Mario Brothers. I finally got to where I could wipe that thing many times over.

My favorite Retro Console is PlayStation (It's the second device that plays games we got in our home, the first was a retro MSX device that was popular in 90s in Libya.)
Until 3 years ago, I was kind of retro gamer (playing games on Emus at PC)... I may return to that one day... But right now I play more modern PC games (made in the last 5 years)... But I still like retro styled games... and my reviews are mostly about these!!

I grew up before gaming consoles came out so none as a kid I did however get a few of the classic consoles but only have a PlayStation for now and seldom find time to play other than in Winter
