Greetings, vampiric travelers!

I've signed up for Google Play Pass, and have been trying out a lot of games available. One of them is Vampire Survivors, a roguelike that has grown a lot in popularity this last year.

The game was created by indie developer poncle, and was initially released as a free browser game on itch.io on March 31, 2021. The game saw its full release on October 20, 2022, on Steam for Microsoft Windows, and was later that year ported for both iOs and Android platforms by the developer itself. He wanted to avoid aggressive and predatory techniques often used by mobile games on ads and in-game purchases, so they created the mobile version themselves. I really liked to know that, and it has been well implemented. I utilized both the "Revival for Watching an Ad" and the "Extra Coins for Watching an Ad", even though the first one was not really effective since I died again right after hehe

In Vampire Survivors, players control an automatically attacking character, battling continuous waves of monsters with the objective of surviving as long as possible. The game is known for its minimalistic gameplay and has been described as a "gothic horror casual game with rogue-lite elements." I had just seen glimpses of gameplay, but knew it was well talked about, so I've been trying it out since the flights to here.

During the runs, your character gains experience and levels up, unlocking tools and upgrading them. What I meant in this post's title by "Maxing Out" is that it was my first run where I was able to fully evolve all of my tools during the run, which I think happened around levels ~60 or ~70. As the roguelike definition goes, you can improve your character between runs in some way; in this one, you gain coins while killing the hordes and exploring the map, which can then upgrade your character before starting a run.

In the run I highlighted in this post, I used Imelda Belpaese, and achieved Level 77, killing 19.902 enemies, gaining 2251 (+1125) gold, and survived 25:25 during it, in the Stage 2 called *Inlaid Library".

Maybe I'll share more of the game in the next year, since in our time here it is still 2024! Happy New Years to everyone ✨
