This is the first part of a series I want to create. I have a huge backlog of games already bought that I haven't played yet, and I want to fix that, writing this personal opinion blogs once I finish each game is just another way of encouraging myself to complete them. Some I'll like, some I won't, but that's the greatest part of all of this, I want to discover some hidden gems :)
First game I've completed this year is Bridge Constructor.
"Become an appraised bridge engineer and architect in Bridge Constructor. Create and design your own constructions and watch the cars and trucks pass over them - or see them fall and crash while your inferior creations collapse due to weight and the laws of physics!"
As the first game of the year I wanted to go for something easy to get the ball rolling, Bridge Constructor is a puzzle game for casual and relaxed gaming, I completed all the main levels in around 2-3 hours and apart from a few levels where I had to think about what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it, the rest were pretty straight-forward and relatively easy.
It gets pretty challenging when you're trying to complete each level trying to waste as little money as possible while still trying to make a solid enough bridge for the trailers, but this is not a requirement, it's just an added dificulty bonus, so it's ok.
The only downsides I found to this game is the music, it's not bad, it's just too repetitive and I ended up having to turn it off and the fact that it really needs more levels, I think the variants (Bridge Constructor Portal, Bridge Constructor Medieval,...) might help with this, but I haven't played those yet.
Overall a really fun little game, easy to complete, yet challenging to perfect levels. I'd recommend anyone to play this, but find where the mute music button is before you start to play, you'll thank me later.
My score: 6/10
