Amiibo: Xenoblade Chronicles was originally released for the Wii, I haven't played the Wii version and I'm not sure if there are any differences between both versions other than the use of the Shulk Amiibo in the 3D version. The Shulk Amiibo gives you a set number of tokens every day that can be used to fill up your gallery with in game music and models of all the playable characters and enemies with their different weapons and outfits.
Rating: Xenoblade Chronicles ended up with a T rating for blood, mild language, partial nudity, use of alcohol and tobacco, and violence. Partial nudity refers to stripping the characters down to their underwear after removing their armor, which leaves them extremely vulnerable to enemies so most of the time you would want to keep your armor on anyway. Yes this game does show blood but nothing too extreme. As far as mild language goes,
I believe the words damn and hell are used but that’s as far as it does, from what I can remember at least.
Story: Two great titans known as the Bionis and the Mechonis were locked in an endless battle till they both destroyed each other. As time passed life began to grown on the titans.
Homs for those created on Bionis who look just like humans, and Mechon for those created on Mechonis who look like robots. Both species went to war until the Mechon were wiped out by the Homs or so they thought.
The game starts out with three friends named Shulk, Ryne, and Fiora who hang out together and live peacefully on Bionis in colony 9, until the Mechon attack once again. I can’t say much more without spoiling the game. With the information given, I have only scratched the surface of the game. The story mixed with the music in this game gives the player feelings and makes this game a wonderful experience from start to finish.
Play Style: Xenoblade’s fighting style is a mix between free for all and turn based battle styles. Each character has a set number of attacks they can use and has to wait for the attacks to recharge before using them again.
You can only use three characters at a time. The game allows you to move around freely while attacking. You can also choose to flee from a battle if it gets to be too much for you.
Players also have the ability to see into the future and find out what attacks the enemy will through next, who they will attack and the precise moment of the attack. The game also allows you to do chain attacks which make it easier to break the enemies fighting stance, knock them to the ground, and stun them. These techniques are known as Break, Topple, and Daze.
You must use break, topple, and daze in that order or it won’t work. When an enemy is toppled you can deal more damage to that enemy.
Each one of your attacks are color coated. Red is your normal and over all stronger attacks, Blue creates status effects like shield and healing, pink inflicts break, green inflicts topple, and yellow inflicts daze. If you don’t level up in this game you will not succeed. Each time you defeat an enemy you will gain experience points that help your characters level up. Characters also have special attacks in the game. Each one does something different and every character beside the main character Shulk have only one. Shulk has a total of 8 Until you level up your character to about level 50,
Shulk is the only one that will be able to attack Mechon. Shulk uses the Monado the same weapons the Bionis used to kill the Mechonis. It has the ability to enchant your teammates’ weapons and allows them to also attack the Mechon for a short time.
The Monado also has the ability to shield your characters from ether attacks with Monado Shield and physical attacks with Monado Armour. Ether attacks are special attack that use mana or in this case ether, to attack. Monado Buster allows Shulk to attack enemies from a distance and also deals double damage to Mechon, Monado Cyclone allows Shulk to deal damage to multiple enemies at a time, Monado Speed allows Shulk to evade enemy attacks, Monado Purge allows the player to inflict damage on enemies that use mana to block attacks, and finally Monado Eater which removes status effects on enemies and also inflicts bleed which gradually takes HP away.
Dislikes: In this game a lot of characters come back to live after we supposedly thought they died. It gets annoying after a while but doesn’t change the fact that this game is still fun. Over all I’d give this game a 7.5/10.
Did I miss anything or get something wrong? Let me know in the comments as well as your thoughts on this game.

Favorite game series of all time. I wear a Monado necklace every day and am starting Lore-based streams for both games. Been looking all over Steemit for people that also love this game! :D
