Chasing a Dream: From Survival Mode to YouTube Full-Time

Life has always felt like a survival game to me. Not the kind where you build a cozy base and explore at your own pace, but the kind where every day is about grinding just to make it to the next. I’m 24, Latvian, and for as long as I can remember, my family and I have been stuck in that cycle—living paycheck to paycheck, always worrying about the next bill, never really feeling secure.

I knew I wanted more. Not just for me, but for my family too. So, I packed my bags and moved to Norway, chasing better opportunities, hoping to save enough for a mortgage—our own roof over our heads. It hasn’t been easy, but every long shift, every sacrifice has been for that bigger goal.

But deep down, I’ve always had another dream. Since I was a kid, video games have been my escape, my passion, and even my way of connecting with people. I found friends, happiness, and a sense of belonging through gaming. And one day, I thought—what if I could turn that love into something more? What if gaming wasn’t just a hobby but a way to build a future?

That’s when I created Miyaqi, my YouTube channel. It’s more than just a name—it’s my shot at doing something creative, something that could eventually let me break free from the survival grind. I know it won’t happen overnight, and I know it’ll take insane dedication, but I’m ready for the grind.

Right now, I’m balancing work, saving money, and trying to grow my channel all at once. It’s exhausting, but every new video, every new subscriber, is a step toward making this dream real. I want to build something that lasts, not just for me but for the people I care about. I’m still learning how to talk to the camera, how to edit videos, but practice makes perfect, and I’m determined to improve with every upload.

If you’ve ever felt stuck, chasing a dream while dealing with real-life struggles, know that you’re not alone. I’m right there with you, pushing forward, trying to turn passion into purpose. And if you believe in what I’m doing, follow along—let’s build this journey together.

Miyaqi is just getting started. And one day, I’ll look back and know that all the hard work was worth it. Until then, it’s grind time.
