What were your favorites? I'm on a nostalgia trip today. Most of these you can run on Sheepshaver...

The Exile Trilogy -- hands down best retro RPGs I've ever played. Also Jeff Vogel is hilarious.

Realmz -- D&D for them what can't be arsed to find a friend to play with

Escape Velocity -- open-ended space trader game with an amazing mod community

Escape Velocity: Override -- even better sequel with even better mods (Frozen Heart, in particular...)

Star Control -- another amazing open-ended space game

The Fool's Errand -- a beautiful game of puzzles

System's Twilight -- a beautiful game of hard puzzles

If Monks Had Macs -- a cute adventure game embedded in a weird little interactive library

Scarab of Ra -- maze/puzzle game that will make you legit terrified of mummies (and despise monkeys)

SimEarth --
not exactly obscure, but definitely underappreciated (wish there had
been a SimEarth 2000 but it probably would have turned into Spore)

Yoot Tower -- SimTower but more so!

Galactic Empire -- simple but fun galaxy-conquering game

Cthangband -- Lovecraftian roguelike
