The latest season has been preparing players for the new expansion as players get ready to learn new mechanics to go along with the new destinations that are coming. Bungie demonstrated that Europa, the new destination, has been in the plans for the game since the beginning which has led to the development to one of the largest playing space they have created. They also explained that the Cosmodrome is coming back as a destination and while it will initially be smaller, it will also include some new areas for all players. Many hope for these destinations to be enough for content as four destinations are being eliminated with the new expansion!
The excitement over the new content got even better as the story is also setting the stage for the continued development of the new trilogy surrounding the power of darkness. They are bringing back a character which is interesting considering he has a new role after being a villain in the past. The timeline for the newly called Season of the Hunt was also shared which seems to be full of activities for players to engage with across the new opportunities.
On a personal level, I am excited as I have been playing the game again much like when Destiny first came out. Given the time I was away from the game, I have had plenty to catch up on while friends have remained away. However, there is still a vibrant community playing which have an expanded my friends list and people to play with. Also, looking forward to playing the game on the next generation of consoles as they are providing a free upgrade for players!
