I was lucky to be able to get an online preorder when they were first available. While I tried to still get an in store launch day preorder to ensure to play on day one, it was impossible. However, the logistics systems have improved so much that my console arrived on time just later in the day. However, it was enough time to get it set up.
The reality is that I continue to play games from the PS4 so I have not really seen the benefits of the new console. But the load times and interface of the new generation is more than enough improvement for me to be happy with the next generation of consoles. I still have to test its full potential but am looking forward to using it to play the latest Destiny 2 expansion which has me quite busy!
