PS4 and Xbox One gamers SHOCKING news will make you think twice about buying new games

SONY PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox owners won't believe this latest news, as research proves you might be better off not buy some of the best new games released this year.

PS4 and Xbox One gamers might want to think twice before buying a new game in the near future, because new research has shown that there might already be hours worth of entertainment sat collecting dust on gamers shelve already at home.

With new games not exactly coming in cheap, it might make more sense for cash strapped gamers to return to something previously purchased that can still provide plenty more enjoyment.

A new study from MusicMagpie.com has found that a shocking number of PS4 and Xbox One players have failed to even scratch the surface for some of their games purchased in the last few years.

"Using data from TrueAchievements and TrueTrophies, MusicMagpie has revealed which video games have the highest and lowest percentage of completed achievements." explained a Music Magpie representative.

"The site researched achievement percentages across the top 50 popular games on Xbox and PlayStation such as Far Cry, FIFA, Assassin’s Creed and Call of Duty.

"The research found that on average, only 9% of gamers have completed all of the achievements in a game."

Interestingly the top four spots were also dominated by two Ubisoft series - Far Cry and Assassin’s Creed.

According to the study, Far Cry 3 and 4 had the most completed achievements, with 30% and 26% of gamers finishing the game’s story mode for each release respectively.

This was closely followed in third and fourth place by Assassin’s Creed: Revelations and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate with 22% and 21% of gamers finishing the game and earning all the achievements.

It was also worth noting that Bottom of the achievement leader board was Batman: Arkham Origins, with only 1.94% of gamers earning every achievement, which we imagine has a lot to do with those pesky Riddler trophies.

“After speaking to regular players of video games whilst we completed this set of research, we found that boredom and new game releases were the strongest factors when it came to the reason why video games were being left without all rewards being achieved," explained Liam Howley, marketing director at musicMagpie.co.uk

“But with exciting announcements at E3 such as a mainline Pokémon game for the Nintendo Switch, Assassin’s Creed Origins coming out in October 2017 and new advancements in gaming technology, it will be interesting to see how average achievement rates are affected.”
