Everdreamsoft are considered to be the pioneers of cryptogaming by many, given they made the first properly playable game integrating blockchain element (Spells of Genesis) and it's associated Book of Orbs wallet, based on the Bitcoin Counterparty (think Bitcoin with Eth-like tokens).
So, when news came in July 2018 that they were taking a young team under their wing to help them create a crypto-based game, it was music to my ears !

It sounds like it's going to be a fun game.
The mechanics seem to be a mix of new and old.
old
- "Bake" two yummies to create a whole new combination of yummie (just saying that word makes me hungry) using the genetic code of their parents
- Collectible critters (Like literally EVERYONE... but hey, it's hard to make non-collectible critters or otherwise innovate on this particular mechanic, given it's all about ownership and trade XS)
- Based on the Ethereum network.

- Exploration-based. This will fit in nicely with Age of Rust and Neon District, which seem like they'll have a exploration theme too, but A Table will have a much more relaxed atmosphere I believe.
Of course... it's entirely possible the game launches and we find ourselves in a dystopian yummy world where yummies are hunted to extinction, but there's been no indication of that so let's hope they don't spring that on us XD XD XD

I can't help but think of the cloudy with a chance of meatballs movies... you guys are making me hungry again !!
It'll be interesting to see what kind of game we end up with in the end, that's for sure.
