How to make a foodie sad? Force her to play a ton of PvE, just to get a mount.
Guild Wars 2 has various mounts that do various things. It's not as simple as a ground mount and a flying mount. Nope, we have one that jumps high, one that jumps/runs far, one that jumps through sand portals, one that speeds over water, one that is super fast on land as long as it doesn't get interrupted, one that can float in the air, but will slowly lose altitude, one for WvW and one that is pretty good at flying.
I have most, but that last one, the one that has the most limitless experience of flying, I don't have yet. So when I was down, sad and bored, because of the stupid WvW beta event, hubby suggested I'd work towards getting this Skyscale. What a funny man hubby is. If you're wondering how much work that is, this is the walkthrough and I am now at the 'Skyscale Scales' part. I also don't have most of the materials this walkthrough tells me I need.
So here I now am, walking around Dragonfall after finally finding it on the huge Guild Wars 2 map, trying to find Skyscale scales. I have the walkthrough, which has maps for me, so that's great. It's just that this stupid map has so many height differences, it is very crappy to navigate. This is why I just really don't like this map.
That's my griffon mount up there. I like my griffon mount. Why couldn't they have just given it enough strength to fly up? Then this stupid Skyscale mount and its very long, very annoying, achievements line wouldn't have been necessary and I could just continue being bored and sad about the stupid beta event!
Why can't they just be like Blizzard and give us an easy way to get it now? Everyone who's worked hard for it has benefited for long enough by now.
This is how far I am with finding the scales. After collecting all of those, I'll need to visit another 14 points, after which I need to collect 20 eggs from yet 20 other different points. Then, I am not even one third of the way to completing this thing!
GW2 PvE was once very doable, but with these mounts added, they have made some of the new maps way too difficult to properly navigate when you don't have all of them. It gets very frustrating. And they still haven't added an easy way to mount every seperate mount. You need a third party addon for that. Very bad.
I feel so sad...
