The NES classic was a massive success for Nintendo last year, being sold out everywhere and being scalped by flippers. This fall, Nintendo will be releasing the Super Nintendo Classic to similar fanfare. While the console has a lot of highly desirable classics featured on it, it can't have everything.

Here's a list of the top 10 Super Nintendo games that you won't be able to play on the SNES classic (without hacking it, of course).

#10 Axelay

A highly collectable game on cart, Axelay is a fantastic shooter with vertical stages that really show of the SNES 'Mode 7' hardware.

#9 Sunset Riders

An arcade hit and a great western-themed game that's great for co-op.

#8 Earthworm Jim

One of the best mascot games of the 90's.

#7 Super Star Wars

Insanely hard, but a wonderful game nonetheless.

#6 Actraiser

This early release really showed off what the SNES hardware was capable of, with a faux-symphonic soundtrack and impressive scaling effects.

#5 Final Fight

Not the definitive version of this game, but still a fantastic beat-em-up.

#4 Pilotwings

Sadly, this flight-sim light won't be on the classic.

#3 Killer Instinct

The rights to this are owned by Microsoft, who purchased developer Rare about 10 years ago.

#2 TMNT: Turtles in Time

An absolute classic and fan favorite

#1 Chrono Trigger

One of the most highly-desired games on the system, Chrono Trigger will sadly didn't make the cut.

Lots of other games could have made this list too, like Demon's Crest, NBA Jam, Mortal Kombat II, Mega Man 7 and Pocky & Rocky, but I wanted to keep it to just 10.
