Its day 3 of e3 and Sony has its work cut out for them as the Microsoft delivered a very impressive lineup yesterday. Next stop though is SquareEnix is the first one to unveil its games. Given that Square-Enix is in possession of some of the most anticipated games in the last 10 years, I feel fans are definitely expecting much from them, will they deliver? well, let's find out.

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider

It looks like Square-Enix is going the Nintendo route and decides to go with a pre-recorded presentation. The presentation starts as Yosuke Matsuda President and CEO of Square Enix says hello and officially welcome everybody. The first game on the list is Shadow of The Tomb Raider, and this time we actually get to see the company unveil some brand new gameplay. The trailer shows off some of the game's new mechanics. A more brutal Lara and an overall darker tone are presented in the trailer. There's also more of a focus on stealth and more traversal, including underwater swimming which is something new within the franchise. Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be available on 09/14/2018

Final Fantasy XIV: StormBlood patch 4.3 Under the MoonLight

Source
A Final Fantasy XIV 4.3 update trailer has been revealed. The Final Fantasy XIV update, Under the Moonlight, will bring with it new quest and goodies for the Stormblood expansion. I might be wrong about this since I've actually never played FFXIV but the patch looks to be centered on Final Fantasy XII and/or Ivalice.

Final Fantasy XIV X Monster Hunter World

Source
Then all of a sudden SquareEnix Pulls off a 180 and unleashes its big surprise. The patch will feature a crossover from another well-received online multiplayer game... Monster Hunter World. Yes this is now a thing, FF XIV and MHW will have babies summer of 2018.

The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit

Source
Life is Strange spinoff The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit enters once again with more details and information about its relation to the actual life Is Strange universe. Michel Koch and Raoul Barbet the creative directors for Life is Strange at DONTNOD entertainment shows up to explain what captain spirit is about. It turns out, though this game is an entirely different entity from Life is Strange, the choice you make in this game would actually directly affect the events of the Life is Strange sequel. Again the game will be available for free across all platforms on 06/26/2018.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age

Source
The action-adventure JRPG is back with a wonderfully colored new world. Cinematic cutscenes were revealed as well as gameplay. The Trunks lookalike protagonist brandishes a giant sword while riding a horse throughout the world. The game would seem to focus on the central theme of light and darkness. This title is coming to PlayStation 4 and Steam on September 4, 2018. Also, as a bonus, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius and Dragon Quest will also have a crossover taking place around the same time.

Babylon's Fall

Source
What seemed to be Final Fantasy Tactics at first turns out t be an entirely different game from Platinum Games, Babylon's Fall focuses on what seemed to be a fantasy-historical narrative. Given that Platinum Games has a good reputation in the gaming community by consistently delivering, to what this game would end up to be, I truly expect it to be good. The game is exclusive to PlayStation 4 and Steam, launching sometime in 2019.

Nier Automata: Become As Gods Edition

Source
A repeat of the trailer from Microsoft has once again been showed to remind us that Nier Automata is now available for XBox.

Octopath Traveler

Source
Octopath Traveler, was given a teaser. It seems like The story of Octopath Traveler follows eight characters who occupy traditional JRPG Jobs like warrior, apothecary/alchemist, cleric etc. The game is coming to Nintendo Switch on July 13.

Just Cause 4

Source
Just cause 4 shows up again this time with a trailer that features a narrator explaining more details about the game. Rico Rodriguez returns as the protagonist and will venture around the fictional South American country of solis. As it turns out this is the biggest world just cause has ever made. The narrator also introduces the main antagonist of the story, Gabriella, and the Black Hand. There also seem to be a weather disaster system and a whole a lot of new vehicles. Rico's grappling hook has also been revamped and is now customizable. Just Cause 4 is available 12/04/2018 across all consoles.

The Quiet Man

Source
Not much is actually known about this new IP except for the fact that it boast very realistic looking graphics. The game kindda looks like a beat-em-up with a little mafia mixed on it. whatever it may turn out to be, we'll still need to wait until August to find out.

Kingdon Hearts III

Source
Another trailer for Kingdom hearts was shown, almost identical to the one at the Microsoft Conference except this one shown a few new features including what looks like to be a ratatouille cooking section.

Unfortunately, no FF7 remake and no real big surprises aside maybe from Final Fantasy X Monster Hunter. A decent conference focusing and gameplay and mechanics. Now let's see what Ubisoft is Brewing.
