WayForward prepares a big surprise for all Shantae fans: Half-Genie Hero. Recently, the company confirmed that it was working on new content for the game. Specifically, it is an expansion called Friends to the End, which will be considered a canon in the franchise. One of the most striking points of this content, without a doubt, is the possibility of playing with 3 different characters.
So, Friends to the End will give us the opportunity to know the skills of Bolo, Sky and Rottytops. This through a chapter of history called Nega-Shantae. This adventure will take the 3 protagonists inside the head of Shantae. This is to expel the dark magic that has possessed her and thus save her.
Throughout the levels of this expansion we can exchange between the 3 heroes. So it will be necessary to master the skills of each one to get the most out of them. According to WayForward, the development of Friends to the End is finalized and is already in the hands of various companies, such as Sony and Microsoft, for approval.
On the other hand, the company clarified that the creation of this new content for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero was possible thanks to the fans. For this reason, all those who supported the fundraising campaign on Kickstarter will receive Friends to the End at no additional cost.
WayForward expects the expansion to be approved for the holiday season, so you can probably buy it, at a price not yet confirmed, at the end of the year.
