League of Legends - Semifinals Day 2

Well sure they have Crown, but WE was very strong too. And in the first game they stomped SSG. In my opinion it could have gone either way. But better map play won over the aggressive style of the LPL.

Game 3 was kind of boring, but still interesting, strategy-wise. Again, superior map play, which was much better overall.

I would like SKT to lose for once, just so other teams might shine, but I don't think that will happen via an EU team any time soon. As much as I'd like my region to win, I have to say, EU and NA are just nowhere near as good as LCK teams. They're both the worst of the good regions. Though this year is as close as it's ever got.

And in the finals, as said in the article, I think SSG have proven that their skills have sharpened, but there's something about SKT. They always seem to gather all their might when push comes to shove. They'll most likely win again, but barely, just as they did last year. We'll just have to wait and see :)

I will agree that NA teams are nowhere near SKT, no offense to NA, but Misfits brought SKT to the fifth game and they are kinda rookies. I don't think anybody expected that, but maybe SKT just underperformed. If SKT wins again, and I hope they do, we'll just have to wait till next year. To be honest I want SKT to be champions for like the next 4 years, it would be a cool legend.

The facts are the facts. Neither EU or NA are strong regions when compared to LCK or LPL. They are stronger than the other regions though. EU is just slightly stronger than NA imo, but they're still a far cry from the asian teams. Yes, Misfits performed admirably, but I think this year has been the worst for SKT in terms of Worlds performance. And maybe precisely because they're rookies, they're unpredictable and not properly scouted. Remember Cloud9 a few years ago? They did basically the same, then kinda fell off as teams adjusted.

I for one would like SSG to win, as their meteoric rise out of the slump they were in is deserving of appreciation. But whatever the outcome, may the best team win, which is most likely SKT overall, but I think this year is their worst, so there's a chance for SSG to steal the title. We'll see. I'll definitely watch and write a post after I watch the show :)
