Sega Genesis - CONTRA: HARD CORPS - Konami 1994

in gaming •  7 years ago  (edited)

Contra: Hard Corps is a side-scrolling run and gun-style shoot-'em-up video game released by Konami for the Sega Genesis in North America and South Korea in 1994

Just like all other Contra games, this one is extreme! Extremely difficult that is! Of course, that's probably part of the appeal for 'Hard Corps' fans (pun intended). You have a choice of 4 playable characters, each with their own strengths and weakness, as well as their own arsenal of weapons / power ups

Nice one! Contra is a solid classic! Good memories

You nailed it. These are about the memories!

While not as good as Contra III, Hard Corps definitely has its very own charm.

The music was rad as always.

I agree with you.

I think I rented this a few times and just sucked at it haha

This game needed more than a rental that's for sure!

Ya, but when you're a kid you like beating games easily, it wasn't til playstation that I started hitting my stride, megaman x4 and rpg's were my jam. Then shooters on xbox. I like going back to these games now because I'm better, emulators are great, I should get one going, I find these older games more satisying than the latest COD, plus don't wanna pay for a system I won't have much time to use

Agreed 100%!

That was a great game. When I think of Contra I have the most memories of the first NES game. My friends and I would play that for hours. Beat the game (with the help of the konami code) then restart and beat it again. All the while sabotaging each other on the vertical stages. The other 8 and 16bit games, this Genesis one included, are great too, but man.... that first one. Fun times
