Omerta - City Of Gangsters , Make your Own Fortune

Hello fellow Gamers , todays game is quite underground and different than what I used to review. We all played games that focuses on creating your own fortune and dominate your enemies. Omerta - City of Gangsters is a turn based strategy game in the Atlantis city.

In the game you have to buy buildings and properties in Baltic City and Atlantis City in order to expand your criminal organizations. While you are trying to expand your wealth and get some criminal connections , ofcourse you are going to face with some cops and you or your guys might face with jail time , however there is a solution for the investigation too and it is more and more money if you don't make the cops piss a lot.

Well if you watched the movie Scarface for several times you are totally suitable to play this game and you need to play it like you are living the gangster's dream. You will face with traitorous consiglieri and rival gangs trying to rob your places and wan't to get some of your places. However it is quite easy to play the monopoly game with yourself.

So what can you do in these cities as a young Sicillian ? I just followed the Scarface way , I started with a small alcohol smuggling business and I tried to get good connections with the current bosses of the city to get some jobs and get their trust and then when I increased my operation I attacked their organizations.

I must admit that settling in a city is hard in the beggining but when you start to earn a lot of money from your criminal organizations you can easily solve anything. Cops not a problem finding guns to conquer your enemies is not a problem , because you start to own the city while you expand your criminal influence against the other mobs. It has a weird reputation system.

I like to talk about little about the things I loved and not so much , first of all the opportunities you missed or used shapes the fabric of your gangster story so decision making is an important thing here , however if you are not really fan of turn based games the big battles might be quite boring for you because multiplayer mode is not fun and singleplayer battles take too much time too.

All the people you recruit in to your organizations got special abilities and every character has different special skills on their own arsenal , however I had some trouble using them in fully efficient way because it felt like there is no tactic. The one uses Tommy-Gun are the best. If there is a best in the game what am I going to do with a knife thrower gangster ?

Overall I didn't like the game but it is my problem , because I find turn based game quite exciting but also boring. After I play it for a long time it becomes dull and I highly reccomend you to play this game in hardest mode because if you play it in easy there is 0 fun in this game.

I think it was a great sandbox game experience. I conquered the city however 1 quick reminder about the story it is quite short. When we consider the game combat is slow it is a good factor to make game longer , but eventhough I played in hard I finished it under 6 hours and this is what I don't like in game.

Other than that graphics capture the essence of the 80's and I could easily jump in the story because of the perfectly created fabric of the game.
