I think I just rolled my eyes so far back in their eye sockets that I was able to look back into the past reading this stupid article. I really don’t know why I keep doing this to myself because every time I read an article like this it kills a few brain cells, so where do I start with this garbage? Well, the start I am guessing so let’s see how deep the rabbit hole goes:

Garbage01.png

Okay, I am going to say this only fucken once: Playing with a video game controller is NOTHING like shooting a real gun with live ammunition I should know, I have shot plenty of guns. Video games (even Virtual Reality games) can’t hope to encompass all the variables that actually need to be taken into account when shooting at a target. Just off the top of my head things like: bullet drop, gun recoil, wind speed, and direction, the inertia, and speed of the bullet being fired and the distance of the target. Not to mention having the correct stance when firing your weapon. Almost none of the above-mentioned things can be tough using a video game controller or in Virtual reality.

If being in a combat situation was as easy you are describing then why aren’t more people playing video games being used as military personnel? Oh, wait it is nothing like playing a virtual reality video game. Training to become a Navy Seal, for instance, takes more than 6 months. It is 8 weeks of basic conditioning that peaks with a grueling segment called “Hell Week” where 2/3 or more of your class may call it quits or “ring the bell.” Please tell me again how they are basically the same?

I am sorry but you must be mistaken, accuracy is not what Virtual Reality simulators teach you. When in military use, simulators don’t train accuracy, that is why they have shooting ranges, these simulators train the brain to think, react and plan strategic move etc.

Garbage03.png

Well fuck let’s change the laws of physics to suit my argument, shooting a moving target from a distance is nothing at all like throwing a frisbee. They call it “forward allowance” – aiming in front of the target – not at it. The first big issue here is cover and terrain available to your target that you are trying too hit. You could be the best marksman in the world but if you can’t get a clear shot then your skill as a marksman is pretty useless. And using forward allowance is not the only variable that needs to be taken into account. Like I mentioned earlier: bullet drop, gun recoil, wind speed, and direction, the inertia and speed of the bullet being fired and the distance of the target all this needs to be taken into account. Something Virtual Reality cannot teach you.

Garbage04.png

There are literally thousands of different types of guns available on the market today not to mention many of these guns can use all kinds of different types of ammunition which makes a difference in how they handle, none of which has ever been realistically portrayed in ANY video game. Hell if you walk up to any of your average video gamer out there today and ask him to reload a gun or removed a jammed bullet he/she won’t be able to do it. Because you guessed it, video games and virtual reality do not teach you those things.

When you are so deep into your attempt to paint video games as being murder simulators that you start debunking your own article…

Garbage06.png

With the exception of the COD franchise being the top-selling video game each year, there are no other first-person shooters that is dominating the charts. The rest of the video games on those lists are pretty diverse when it comes to genre:

This article has to be the contender for the stupidest shit I have ever read. Who honestly in their right minds thinks that video games and Virtual Reality in any way shape and form prepare you for a real life shooting? The level of mental gymnastics you need to achieve to reach that conclusion is absolutely mind-numbing…

Both those arguing that these games cause shooting sprees and those saying they are totally irrelevant are wrong. Of course spending all your time virtually shooting people is a form of conditioning.

So is watching the murder porn most television shows are. CNN is one of the most prevalent means of conditioning violence into the population, and, as is typical of propagandists, are blatantly projecting their own deceptions onto their victims.

100% I was explaining to a German yesterday how television and movies condition people to think that guns are plot devices and that every time they see one that it will be used at some point during the show for violence. That's how they create an irrational fear of guns to be able to get people to call to have their rights stripped from them.

Yes leave the guns and let's get rid of all the consoles instead. A lot of talk about games in the military but no mention of the link between the military and shooters either, utter dog shit!

there is no link between the military and the mass murders.
the cause is drugs.
had any valium, xantrax, Ritalin or any other anti depressant lately?
you TOO could be at risk.

better ban video games. And computers, And TVs.

What about the military? There thry actually get to shoot real people, I think that is good for honing your skills!

nope...you don't.
think that is.

I would never trust a surgeon to perform surgery on me just because he practiced on a lot of interactive surgery video simulations.

how would you know?

I would ask the surgeon: how many times have you performed this surgery on a live patient?

and if he said
"counting you?
One."

Are you surprised that the propagandists and gun-grabbers at CNN don't know shit from shinola about guns?

I'm not. One of the variables you didn't mention regarding accuracy is bullet form. There is a huge difference between the performance of a Spitzer shaped bullet and a wadcutter. This is one of the reasons I used to memorize ballistics tables when I reloaded ammo for hunting purposes.

Each time I worked up a load, the ballistics would change, and I needed to be aware of the performance of the given load in order to ensure I would hit what I shot at in the variable conditions I would encounter.

Thanks!

the real problem is that watching CNN drives some people berserk....especailly young men.
The can only take SO much..then they break under pressure..
Ban CNN...it's the only solution.
think of the children.
