Hello Steemian !! Good evening wherever you are You may always be healthy and always in the protection of God Almighty. Rejoining @teguhrianto in the afternoon, a big movie must have a way of exciting story like that happened in a game of The Dark Knight Rises. This game is a game that can test someone mentally with you playing later, this game brings the type of Survival genre that can seize the attention of gamers in the year 2017 with the title that brought The Dark Knight Rises. Let's look carefully at the steemian?
Alert Spoiler
Before playing this game, it's good we reminded that the developers take the story based on the latest Batman movie, so there will be many leaked stories in this game. Not only will it contain characters like Bane and Selina Kyle, this game will also bring some dialogue taken from the film. We try not to give spoilers in this review, we personally have not watched the movie The Dark Knight Rises, so we also do not know how many spoilers included by the Gameloft in this game. Unlike the last Batman game released on iOS (Arkham City Lockdown), Gameloft chose to "imitate" the gameplay of two successful Batman games in the console of Batman Arkham Asylum and Batman Arkham City, which means Batman game this time will take the sandbox setting, similar to The Amazing Spider-Man game. Although the area offered in this game is not as big as other sandbox themed games on iOS, but the Gameloft managed to bring Gotham City pretty well. Just like the feel of Batman, all the games in this game take night time, and Gotham City is always showered by rain (maybe it was the rainy season).
Although Gotham City in this game looks quiet, almost without residents, but overall we will be able to feel the feel of Batman shown from the existing environment. During the exploration of Gotham City, we will also have the opportunity to get some side mission offered. Not only that, we will also be able to find various collectibles that we can collect during tracing Gotham City. One of the elements that make this game look pretty cool is when we explore Gotham City by doing glide. The animation shown is quite good, and allows us to become a Batman. Gameplay offered in The Dark Knight Rises is also quite varied, in addition to hand-to-hand combat, we are also often required to do stealth, although the stealth in this game is not as hard as the console version. Here we do not just do combat just like that, we have to do various strategies, like breaking lights before paralyzing snipers, diverting attention with various items, and sometimes we also have to find a way to pass machine guns. This game sometimes also provides some puzzles, which is quite easy to complete. Batman is famous for its many advanced equipment. In this game is also the same, we will be equipped with a variety of equipment that is well known by Batman fans, ranging from Batrang, Grapple Gun, Smoke Bomb, EMP Batrang to Flashbang Grenade. Still feeling lacking? Do not worry, in The Dark Knight Rises we will also be able to drive some Batman vehicles, such as The Bat and Bat-Pod.
Combat in this game is quite exciting, we can do combos, combine attacks with various weapons that we have, and also can do Glide Attack and counter attack. What makes the combat in this game more exciting is how the Gameloft managed to package and present the combat well, as for example when we managed to combo, then our auto attack will be shown pretty cool through "slow motion".
The Dark Knight Rises contains six levels, where each level will contain multiple missions. Unfortunately Gameloft does not include multiplayer mode in this game, but the system level up and various collectibles that can be collected to make the replaybility value of this game a little up. Camera features in this game is also not very good. Of course we can see the surroundings manually, that is to make a swipe, but sometimes when doing combat, camera in this game a little chaotic, not even rarely we lose sight of the enemy near us. Unfortunately, AI in this game is not good enough. Often they ignore us even when we are in front of them. What is more noticeable is when we attack them then run away, they look a little lazy to chase and search for Batman (maybe the salary offered by Bane is not as big as Joker).
The Dark Knight Rises also offers a little RPG element, where every time we level up, we will earn points, which we can use to upgrade, either upgrade the ability of Batman, upgrade items we have, to upgrade for our vehicles. For those who want to be fast, Gameloft also provides the option to buy points through "in-apps purchase". Unfortunately the price offered for these points is quite expensive, maybe the Gameloft forgot that not all gamers have as much money as Bruce Wayne.
Control in this game becomes one of the important points, which slightly reduce the quality of The Dark Knight Rises. The developer actually provides a fairly responsive control by using the virtual button and virtual thumb stick, where the control will change dynamically. For example, when the automatic fight appears a button to perform attacks by using Batrang. Unfortunately, the placement of the button is a bit strange, so not infrequently we will not accidentally throw Batrang while looking at the area around.
The developer also does not provide the option for us to do custom in the placement of the virtual button, a very unfortunate thing. Control while driving Bat-Pod and The Bat is also not good, where there is no option to use the accelerometer, or use tap. The options given are just using a slider.
The graphics offered are enchanting, even can be said to approach the existing graphics in the Xbox 360 or PS3, especially on iDevice that already use Retina Display. Both the existing environment and the characters come with enough detail, we can see it in the Batman costume. Similarly, various effects that exist, such as rain splashes that make this game more viscous with the atmosphere of Batman. This game is reviewed on the iPhone 4, and runs quite smoothly, but according to reports obtained, this game is also running quite well in the first generation iPad.
Voice actors in this game is also quite good, where not only Batman, other characters such as Bane, Gordon to Catwoman also sounds quite fitting. The dialogues are also quite interesting, although of course some of them contain spoilers. Music in this game is quite standard, though not special, at least enough to add to our adrenaline when doing combat. Overall, Gameloft managed to make a pretty good Batman game, at least better than the game The Amazing Spider-Man that they released earlier. Although still has some shortcomings, but the Gameloft managed to show how the ability of mobile gaming, especially iDevice and high end Androd is now almost the same console
The quality of today's mobile gaming has improved considerably compared to the era before the emergence of devices powered by iOS and Android. Among the cool games for the mobile platform, there's The Dark Knight Rises (TDKR) made by Gameloft that attract attention. In this game you will play as Batman who is trying to save Gotham from Bane's grip. With a vast world of open world and equipped with so many quests, this game becomes one of the best adventure games available for smartphones and tablets.
TDKR has excellent graphic quality and as seen in this screenshot you can see Batman's rain-soaked character, the thin smoke behind it and the details of the building and surrounding environment that are all very well described in one tablet or smartphone screen. Indeed if you click on the image to be witnessed in the size of 100% will see the low texture resolution and the disappearance of Anti Aliasing. But keep in mind, when TDKR is played on tablets and smartphones, the size of the image will shrink and the problem of texture resolution and anti-aliasing will not be disturbing. To enjoy the quality of the graphics sometimes I 'climb' to the top of Wayne Tower (the tallest building) to see the surrounding buildings or see the panoramic city lights in Gotham island 2. The dark Gotham city atmosphere is very well illustrated, each building is made in detail which is quite deep and there is a blurry effect if you see the building from a distance. With quality like this The Dark Knight Rises became one of the best and heaviest graphic mobile games I've ever played, so it's hard sometimes this game looks broken and lagging even though I play it on the iPod Touch 5th gen quite powerful.
The world in The Dark Knight Rises can be spelled out very widely for the size of mobile games. You can adventure freely in Gotham City which is divided into 2 islands, the first island is an urban filled with tall buildings while on the second island there are industrial areas with brownish factories both of which are separated by a bridge called "Memorial Bridge". At TDKR you can feel the thrill of playing Batman with all the power, gadgets and typical Batman vehicles. While the battle mode though only using 1 or 2 buttons, I did not feel bored because the animation and action that Batman showed when fighting really cool. What I like best about Batman is of course its stealth, in some missions you have to paralyze an opponent or perform a certain action without being seen at all. You can also use batarang to paralyze enemies from afar or use combat to draw enemies in front of you.
Basically The Dark Knight Rises is an open world game that besides presents many quests, it also has one main story that you can follow each series and chapter. You do not have to follow this main story, you can explore the city of Gotham when you're in the middle of the quest though. Navigation to find the main quest and where to go is quite easy to understand because it provides a mini map in the corner of the screen and full map. Sometimes you can also see Batsign used by Gotham police to call Batman. The choice of mission in this game is very diverse, in addition to the stealth I mentioned earlier, you can use the Bat-pod and Bat-fly vehicles to chase and paralyze the enemy. Told also the story when Bruce Wayne was caught by Bane to thrown underground jail and had to climb up empty handed despite the very weak condition. The TDKR game really represents the movie The Dark Knight Rises as a whole. Element RPG do not forget to enter gameloft, you can buy consumable device or upgrade gadgets and Batman power with coin you have. Unfortunately TDKR customization options are very minimal, for example you only have 1 type of Batman costume and have no choice to replace it.
