Awesome game. I really love the campaign.
The campaign is a blast to play. It really feels like a Star Wars adventure, and that’s what it’s supposed to be. The missions are mostly well designed, and leveling your character and unlocking new skills is a lot of fun. The skills add depth to both the game and your character, and are well implemented. While the narrative in the missions isn’t amazing, it’s good enough. Its about in the middle between flavor text and a really compelling story. Most of the fun from the story comes from the unexpected things that happen during the mission that I mentioned earlier. It really creates a good sense of discovery and adventure.

awesome game dear thanks fo sharing

Damn it... you guys get all the fun games.

Why oh why do none of those things ever reach Portugal... we're down to playing monopoly here and the closest thing we have is Risk.

Ack...

I blade Portuguese commerce for only having found out about dungeons and dragons at 18 years old.

I have a copy of this in Portugal! If you are ever close to Ericeira, give me a shout! ;)

There is a thriving boardgame community in most of the larger cities, and online and physical shops selling all the cool stuff!

Yeah... I'm a guy from the interior... no major cities here, only hay balls.

Tell the truth @themarkymark, you got that game for yourself ;).

Without him the game would be useless to me. Even with the two of us it really needs a few more players.

I was kidding :)

If you throw a contest on those stuff I will win them instantly, love campaign game though I have not played it yet. I am reacting based on the stories I have heard about the adventurous stages of the game!

Sound like the game is loaded and fun to play.

Will try seeing if I can buy or cop it online tomorrow.

And oh! I like your father/son relationship - the bonding is good.
So many persons don't have this type of opportunity of playing games or having fun with their dad, but I'm happy you're an exception.
Good job you're doing man and that's a better upbringing for your son and its memorable.

Thanks for sharing this with with us.

Pretty cool man. We love board games in the family. My kids are too young, a toddler and infant. My current favorite is the Western Card Game "Bang!" My Brother in Law and his kid will love The Imperial Assault Board Game. They are huge Star War Fans. I should save up for Christmas!

yeah with a 3d printer it's probably pretty easy to print your own, but doesn't look as cool without being painted.

Not really, you need an SLA printer for doing resin figurines, it's very different than traditional FDM 3d printing. I mean it can be done, but you will get far more detail from a SLA for that small of a print.

Cool, learn something new everyday.

Wow, that's a cool looking board game. Too bad my sons are 21 and 22 and over 1,000 miles away and my younger daughters don't appreciate Star Wars. We do play card games together though. Looks like you and your son can get hours of enjoyment and memories.

Most of these games can be played on Tabletop Simulator via Steam or using Roll20. Just because they are older and 1,000 miles away, doesn't mean you can't!

Oh wow, I had no idea! Thanks for letting me know. There are so many games on Steam it's impossible to know what's out there until someone tells you (at least it seems that way to me).

Tabletop Simulator is a single game that people will scan in the manuals and play pieces and build the logic so popular board games can be played multiplayer via the Internet on a computer. Graphics are not as good as if the manufacturer made a native game but the play style should be the same.

I never tried it but really want to give roll20 a go to try D&D again.

Oh man I haven't played D&D since college.

I can give tabletop simulator a try, but my sons are surprisingly computer illiterate for their generation. I can hope.

If you ever want to play cooperatively - you and your son killing the empire, there is a free app from fantasy flight called Legends of the Alliance that plays the bad guys - while you can both be rebel scum to your heart's delight!

It is free and you can find it in either the apple or android app store.
Check it out!

I found out revently in a conversation with my grandson that he thinks board games are actually called "bored Games" because they are are boring ... as in .. they are not electronic video games ... ergo - they are " bored Games" - kids say the darndest things...

this looks cool and makes me wish I played role playing games...

You wouldn't be bored at all.
There are plenty of kid-friendly games that are actually fun for adults as well.
You should try Kings of Tokyo. I play it regularly with my nephews, which are 10, 12 and 14 years old - and they all love it.

I used to play the same game with old PhD graduates - so it scales quite well regardless of age or background. ;)

Very nice. Great to see that board games are front and center now days. I see a lot of board game play on Twitch as well. Great outline and content. Back in the day my friends and I used to play a board game called Star Frontiers.
