great stream man! Had fun watching

I also enjoy this live stream with popcorn :P <3
@sibtainali

Nice one @themarkymark. I don't understand why people think there's nothing but a linear grind, when really you have a vast galaxy to explore as you like. Apart from that, you can on your travels come across and collect different outfits, weaponry, furnishings (A LOT) and find weird and wacky locals to interact with. There's been significant content updates since 2014, with another pretty significant update just around the corner from the time of writing this review.

Those who keep comparing it to Terraria really shouldn't. I hated Terraria, but I love Starbound because the focus seems more to do with exploration than "survive this horrendous attack on your house", and the tools and crafting system seem more intuitive to me. Not to knock the survival genre game, but it's not my favourite, and Starbound has elements of combat within it, but it doesn't take away from the enjoyment of the game or lay waste to all your hard work within one bad blood moon attack. Great playing there.

I'd also like to add that multiplayer really adds more enjoyment to the game, just because everything's more fun with friends, you can also set yourselves interesting challenges with the power of your imagination, like who can terraform a planet faster, or who can build the biggest monstrous building in a set amount of time. The options are literally only as limited as your brain power ;)

Very nice information

I find it very much like Terraria, but more modern (even though it is retro) but it has far more depth and the space aspect is huge. The remake has far more depth to it.

Nope, I'll never read your posts with your real voice.

I will still, even after hearing this, reading it in Nathan Filleon's voice.

hehe

GG, TheMarkyMark Pro-Streamer :P

LOL

That background music sounds like Terminator.

Yeah, it does. It's just more lame since it lacks the BUMBUM BUM BUMBUM part.

The music is awesome, the base music is good but the add-on adds some really good music. It is all reactive too, it changes dramatically as you go day/night, different areas, combat, and into space.

Really, so you like that game. Starbound is a game that, after a few hours of play, starts to seem like an instant classic you’ll be revisiting from time to time over the next unknown period of years. Great streaming @themarkymark

The moded edition I like a lot better. it's a complete remake of the game.

I love the game so much. If Starbound has one major downside it’s that there is no pause button. A pithy consideration, I know, but it means if you’re exploring a cavern found deep within the recesses of a new planet, you cannot pause to take a much-needed bathroom break. And since enemies can spawn at any time, you can’t walk away from your computer in confidence, either. But the lack of a pause button almost feels apt: in Starbound, there can be no pause button, no way to suspend you from this childhood fantasy.

Just save, can't if you're on multiplayer, but I usually have my son protect me.

This is real cool. @themarkymark I did love the aspect you played together with your son, that shows that there is fatherly love and core relationships between you and your son.
I so do believe that most parent(fathers) don't really have time to share with their loved ones and that's makes them away from their Dad and Mum. This is a good teach to steem fathers to create time for fun in their busy schedules.
Rally not played the game though but enjoy your spare time.

We play a lot together, in fact when he isn't doing homework, at school, we are playing. The rest of the time I'm working. I am very lucky I automated 99% of my company so I can spend time with him whenever he is around.

That's good sir. Enjoy God's gift to you.

I haven't tried it out but I like that kind of games

Graphics seems good and style of play might suite me

When I was a kid we were poor and didn't have any game systems or anything like that. But my dad would play pretend with me that we were astronauts flying from planet to planet and fighting space pirates and whatnot. Even though it wasn't much, it meant the world to me. I looked forward to those times more than anything else. And now they're some of my best memories.

Spending time with your kids, encouraging their sense of imagination, and just being part of their world sometimes rather than thinking of them as just being a part of yours is what makes a dad a hero.

Awesome game

Success and health are always @themarkymark

My streaming was poor but the little i got left me with the impression that anything can work out good, it just depends on how good you operate in it and manipulate the available "resources" with your made tools...
