Polish developers #5 - Calaris Studios

The history of the studio dates back to 1993, when the Zieliński brothers founded a company called TSA Software Production - Author Programs. The first project was to write an engine for their future games called IC Engine - the engine after various modifications was used in almost all games of the studio.

The first games Calanis released were three Amiga games: two first-person shooters (FPS) Project Battlefield and Intercalaris and Rooster - top down shooter in si-fi climates.

The first more famous production of the studio not only in Poland but also abroad was the game Mortyr (1999). Second World War FPS set in an alternative reality in which the Third Reich mastered the entire planet using a time machine, and we try to reverse the situation.

In 2004 The Mysterious Island was released - a combination of RPG and cartoon adventure. The game was very well received, because of its style. On the surface it looked like a production for the youngest, but it turns out that in order to solve all the mysteries of the island and numerous puzzles requires from the players a little more. Shortly afterwards, a game based on a comic book by Henryk Chmielewski in Poland, known as Titus, Romek and A'Tomek, was created outside Monkey's Adventures.

The last "big" game of the studio was Wolfschanze 1944 (Wilczy Szaniec) telling the story of Hitler's assassination attempt. Unfortunately, the game was not successful due to the old graphic engine and archaic gameplay. The last project of the studio is a MMORPG on the Sobieski Route - unfortunately, servers were already shut down a long time ago.

Currently, the company is a provider of business software.
