Didn't think I would see this news story today. You don't think esports is getting big? Well take a look at the cover of this months ESPN magazine and you might think differently. Ninja, a very popular fortnite player is on the cover. Not only that but there is an article about what esport might be for you and dances from fortnite. The future of gaming is happening faster you might think. This is huge for the industry. It is one thing to have professional gaming but when you have personalities you get closer to the world of athletes.

While we are on the topic lets talk about esports and gaming. With Twitch being as big as it is and games like Steem Monsters coming out, we can start to run tournaments on here with real cash prizes. If the price of steem goes up and we put enough money into it we can run $100,000 plus contests on here for people who want to play. A tournament like that could really bring in some attention. The tools are here for blockchain gaming to really bring in a crowd for any company looking to make a competitive game. And steem could be one of the networks that game runs on.

I would be okay setting aside some daily rewards for big tournaments or even turning rewards off for a week to accumulate them for a big yearly gaming event. It could be like our super bowl. We are still in the development stage when it comes to gaming on the blockchain but it is something to think about for people working on something. If you make the game fun to watch and give people some good prizes you can go viral on Twitch and really compete with the big boys.

the fact that amazon bought Twitch means Esport is a serious business!

Even if I'm happy that Gaming World is only growing but to be honest...
I love gaming, but I just don't like e-sport. I don't feel that it should be called sport. We don't call people who play chess on Pro Level that they are doing sport, even if they use their head more than e-sport players for some games.
