For the most part this game has been a really good ride and none of it is too difficult. I have only died a handful of times playing the game on normal difficulty and the story, although a bit long-winded at times, isn't dominating the gameplay.
They aren't wasting a bunch of time by forcing you to talk to every single NPC either the way that games in the past would do. Since this is modeled after old-school RPG games, I am quite happy that they didn't go that route.
I've managed to go all the way through the game to this point without seeking the help of any sort of guide at any point but I finally made it somewhere that I ended up just getting frustrated at.

The area is called the Autumn Hills and it is one of the areas that I have enjoyed the most so far. The reason for this is pretty simple but mostly it is because there is plenty of platforming fun here (the kind that you can't get wrong and fall to your death) and there are no "cheese" enemies. What i mean by that is it seems at many points in this game there have been enemies that aren't difficult and don't do much damage, but they are very difficult to deal damage to.
There also hasn't been any super annoying enemies that go through a long and drawn out animation during their attack that achieves nothing other than making the fights take longer.
I didn't avoid any fights on this stage and this is a good sign.
Let me point out this problem that you might end up encountering as well and make it so you don't have the same problem.

You eventually reach an overlook of sorts where there are leaves all over the place and no way to proceed forward. They are positioned in such a way so that it is not possible to get them stuck in corners and the idea here is that you just push them all to the same central spot. I did that and still nothing happened.
As it turns out, you at this time are meant to use your Solstice magic to change the time of day so that it is nighttime. Then the pile of leaves turns into the boss of the area.

So why did I not know what the hell to do here? In the past almost everything in the game has been extremely obvious about what it is that I need to do next. Well as it turns out there was a moment during a cutscene which was not really a cutscene but just some dialogue. It was hinted at in that dialogue that i would need to take the steps to push the leaves and change the time of day. I hadn't been paying attention because very rarely is there any sort of useful information in the dialogue. This was the first time that a rather critical part of the only way forward was pointed out in such a way.

The leaf monster boss is one of the easier bosses in the game and even though I was quite drunk when I did the fight, I rather easily dispatched him. I reckon everyone else out there will find him similarly easy.
Now I wonder how many other players of this game were not paying full attention during the cutscene and found themselves in the same predicament that I did.
