Are micro-transactions ruining video games?steemCreated with Sketch.

In my opinion, micro-transactions for some games are getting out of hand and is just ruining the gamers experience. For example games such as Team fortress 2 , Call of duty and various EA titles like fifa are all culprits of having ludicrous pay to win options that give players an advantage over others. Team fortress 2 have a system where you can pay for a key and open a crate and get better weapons and can be abused so people pay a lot of money so they can get the best weapons, Call of duty has a similar system where you pay for Cod points and open a supply crate to get the newest and overpowered weapons that can only be obtained through supply crates and on fifa you pay for points to open packs and get players and is guaranteed the best players if you pay enough money.

However, not all games with micro-transactions have been ruined. Games like overwatch and CSGO have micro-transactions that are for cosmetic skins only and does not give you an advantage over another player so everyone is on a level playing field.

Micro-transactions overall are beginning to ruin video games but a lot of blame is put on micro-transactions by inexperienced players and band wagoners who just hate the game in general. Yes micro-transactions can give people an advantage over others but people who can actually play well at a game can still beat an opponent that has a weapon by paying extra for it. But if people disagree about it them surely they should voice their opinion towards companies doing this instead of shrouding their opinions and letting this continue. I dont want every game to be pay to win but if you dont do anything then nothing will change.
