So I was bored yesterday and went on my usual hunt for a free to play, RTS (real Time Strategy), economy type game. As usual, I was met with the same bunch of browser games that are usually just out to trick you into spending Not interested, as usual, then I remembered something. Old games are still good games, right? so I dug into my archive and pulled out a copy of Age of Mythology, Titans.
Loads of fun I tell you, playing for 15 minutes and I was already in the mode! Brings back so many memories. Last time I play this, was probably 15 years ago before I had a personal computer so I'd pay for time in an internet cafe. Ahh, the good old days :-) I've logged so many hours gaming throughout my life, I wonder if I could trade that in for something :D? Ha, every kid's dream I guess. Well, I'm too old for those kinds of dreams, but still. The memory is still a fond one.

Huh, are you not from the states? I'm from Oregon so we got to play it in school since it was "historically related". Played it on computers before there were mouses putting in numbers and using the space bar. Here's the link https://archive.org/details/msdos_Oregon_Trail_The_1990 : )

I credit this game with my vast knowledge of mythology! I read every single entry for every single unit and was so excited by the mythology that I went all out in researching the myths of many cultures.

?Yah I love how indept it gets with the characters and the lore. They did well with the Mechanics too, different units being less or more effective against others, with tooltips to help ;)

Age of Empire, Command and Conquer, and Age of Mythology never get old it reminds me of the days me and my friends were still young so we didn't really understand the strategy concept we would each just try to rush each other but you could tell our understandings of the game as time went on and strategy became more relevant.
