I had another one of those crazy Friday nights.
You probably guessed it, but I was hanging out in VRChat again, getting my drink on. I went to bars, chill rooms, and weird places, but I ended my night at my very own club. I got bored during the day Friday, and I started up a new Unity project.
I was going to bring Club Necro back to... unlife. ;]
If you never saw my posts about the original Club Necro, this is what it looked like. It was a bit hard on the eyes, and I've come a long way with my Unity experience since then. I wanted to make something more comfortable this time.
I spent the whole day working on it, and when the time to play came, I went to check out my club in-game. It was a bit scuffed. My door to one of my rooms was broken, and my drinks fell through the world. No virtual drinks, but lots of irl ones. I was surprised when I opened the club up for friends+ and it filled up. People were hanging out there and chatting each other up. It felt like a real club experience, and reminded me of when I used to hang out there.
I'll probably be putting screenshots of everyone who comes to visit it on the wall. ;D
Like curious cats, my visitors found a secret pillar that wasn't clipped, which allowed them to hang out under the spawn area. As promised, I'm leaving it in, so that people can hang out under there. ;]
I was really happy, and realized that I was the own worst enemy of my judgement about the club. I didn't think it was that good, but I got a lot of positive feedback. It encourages me to keep working on the club, and making it an awesome place to hang out. I appreciate everyone who came there to hang out!
I hope it will become a place to spend quality time with my friends! Let me know what you think about the theme. Also, if anyone knows how to make a pulsing shader, or how to make a color pulse in general, hit me up. I think that would really add to the atmosphere. I'm still pretty newb at Unity, so I'll take any advice I can get!
Kinda funny seeing Dallas in there...
