The timeless inquiry, 'am I too old to even think about sitting the GAMSAT', is still as profoundly stressful as ever!

GAMSAT is accessible to any individual who has finished a Bachelor or an undergrad degree, or who will be in the penultimate (second-last) or last year of study, at the time of sitting the test.

From my own recounted insight of going through ,ed school and having an exceptionally close working information on the experience of associates from different schools, it is maybe best to consider a 'mature age student’ as anybody beyond 25 years old. This is on the grounds that these understudies would have had a sensible opportunity to finish a Bachelor's degree assuming they went directly to college following secondary school.

The GAMSAT is meant to test conceptual understanding, logic, and pattern recognition, not prior knowledge in these subjects. Regardless of whether you had done science in high school 20 years prior, and had not touched anything since, it won't truly disadvantage you by any stretch of the imagination!

As all of the above are not fundamental drawbacks for the mature aged students to sit GAMSAT… then, what is?

The fundamental obstructions and problematics are the different obligations that sit outside the GAMSAT, and can decide how one can effectively engage in the preparation of this mammoth test.

For example, the significant cost of sitting the GAMSAT, studying while at the same time having a job or familial obligations that may likewise include little kids, and the wide range of various additional obligations that living longer sadly appears to get you this world.

Notwithstanding, mature-aged students are commonly more proficient and dedicated than their more youthful companions. Our mature confidants have different abilities and survival strategies that they can utilise with full impact in med school to fight off starvation, manage pressure, and really time-manage. They are frequently undeniably more sympathetic and ready to engage with others.

In this way, mature-aged understudies, have faith in yourself, as your contribution to med school and past is totally priceless - the best specialists I know were all mature age students, starting med school when they were well past 30!
