The company GANA (Green And Nature Association) is a recent start-up that aims to combine several high technologies, including artificial intelligence, big data processing and the blockchain, and apply them in the field of growing medical cannabis. The company is famous for starting their own cryptocurrency, the GANA token (otherwise known as the GANA coin), based off the well-known Ethereum cryptocurrency. The specifics on mining the GANA coin are not yet disclosed, but there are several other ways to acquire and hold the GANA coin:
- Purchasing the coin;
- Getting it for free as a bonus or lottery prize;
- Getting it for participation in the GANA network.
Purchasing the coin
The GANA token project allows for 2,400,000,000 tokens in total, and half of that amount (1,200,000,000 tokens) will be available to buy. The rest will be reserved for the other methods of acquiring the coins, which will be detailed in the next section.
The GANA coin, once the sale starts, will be exchanged for Ethereum and, possibly, other cryptocurrencies in the future. As of June 2018, the sales of the GANA coin have already started, and the exchange rates are observed growing.
Holding the GANA tokens does not require the holder to actually participate in the GANA cannabis research program or buy any cannabis. Hence, it may be legal even in countries where medical use of cannabis is banned and punishable.
Winning the coin
Free GANA coins can be won in two possible ways. One method involves actually participating in the GANA research program. Of course, it requires the prospective holder to live in a country where medical marijuana use is legal, purchase the products offered by GANA and upload the data required by the program. GANA wants you to upload statistical data on your health and the effects of medical marijuana consumption. The more data you offer, the more free GANA tokens you receive.
The other way involves participation in the GANA media advertisement program. Most of the prizes offered by this program aren’t very large (20 to 100 tokens), but you can collect many by publishing many posts, videos and advertisement actions in various social media. Additionally, all participants in the media advertisement program become eligible to win lottery prizes, which are significantly larger than normal rewards and can be up to 100,000 GANA tokens.
Predicted rates
The GANA token is part of a large platform that is dedicated to a research project, so the exchange rates of the token to Ethereum or fiat currency are safe while the project lasts. Unlike certain cryptocurrencies which are created with the sole purpose of speculation, the GANA coin is not affected much by the machinations of exchange brokers which inflate and collapse cryptocurrencies for profit. This means that the exchange rates of the GANA token will be easy to predict by observation.
