The Beefeaters - Don't Hurt Me. Featuring Emma Peel / Diana Rigg

in garagerock •  7 months ago

Here's a mid 60s Fuzzy Garage Rocker from Texas where a lot of the great Garage songs are from. This is The Beefeaters and it is said that this record wasn't even released in the 60s.

It starts with those beautiful 4 chords on guitar played twice with the bass guitar. Then the pounding drums and sweet organ sounds fold into the mix. The snotty vocalist finally joins, and tells us how much he wants to be with her, but please babe, "don't hurt me!" There's an excellent but way too short fuzzy guitar break in the middle for us to marvel at.

This is from the mighty heavenlyblueorange YouTube channel who always pumps out new Garage Rock videos. Of course most 60s records don't have visuals so why not add some 60s movie or TV footage! That's what they usually do, and in this one we have Emma Peel from The Avengers played by the stunning and powerful Diana Rigg. Check out her self-defense moves!
