Garden Update - Lower Garden

in garden •  5 years ago  (edited)

I'm back again, please be patient as I learn Partiko. My laptop is out of commission I'm waiting on a new screen as the current one has dimmed to the point of being hard to see.

The gardens are finally coming around after a rough Spring. The recent hot temperatures and adequate (but not excessive) rain have made the plants flourish.

As you can see in the lower garden, the Swiss Chard in the foreground is coming nicely as is the rest of the lettuces and kale. The potatoes are filling in as I have had to replant some as many as 3 times. I have hilled them and mulched with straw.

Finally, at the top of this garden are the pumpkins which are looking nice also. I planted Jack O Lantern plus Big Moon varieties.

My next post will feature the "Upper Garden" including tomatoes, peppers, onions, cukes, squash, and more.

Thanks for reading as always.
