So on Thursday I was getting ready for a Walmart run when I walked into the bar and it seemed a bit warm. Figured it was just the humidity and left. Came back and it was really hot in the bar. 84 degrees. Check the AC and it's not running. No water on the floor so it's not frozen up. All the breakers are on. So Friday I wake up and call the HVAC guy.
Today he shows up. Move all the crap in front of the furnace room and everything turns out to be fine inside. Go outside and it takes him 10 seconds to see the problem. Wires are pulled out of the back of the unit. So what caused this? Raccoons eating my cherry tomatoes. They have been knocking a few off the vine every night and eating them right next to the AC. Well one must have been clumsy and got caught in the wires. Not only did he pull out the wire from the AC but pulled a 220 line off the wall. It was bolted in 2 places. It ripped one bolt out of the wall and somehow got the cable out from the other clip.
So $85 for a service call. Those tomatoes just became damn expensive. Anyone want to give some raccoons a good home?
