2017 Is Drawing to a Close & It's Time to Enjoy What We Grow!

We had a great growing season and now it's time to be thankful for a great harvest!

I won't lie, I do love the season change. It's Autumn here and the night air has been cooling down quickly. We aren't done yet, but I can see the end of the summer garden nearing its end. It has been a pretty good year, but I am ready for a break! It's hard work to grow food!

Hurry up and ripen!

I'll let them try as long as they want, but the forecast says the night temperatures will be dipping into the 40º (f) range - which might be the end of the garden for the year.

Lovely peppers! I'm thinking about doing a seed giveaway at the end of our season -- thoughts?

I'm thinking something like 3 SBD or so to cover postage and handling (perhaps variable, based on destination), to send 5 seeds each from our jalapeno, dragon, Serrano, and lemon drop peppers.

Of course in keeping with my "camera shyness" I'd need to get a PO box in a neighboring city... But I'd be willing to do that.

Thanks, @libertyteeth
I think the seed sale is an awesome idea! I would recommend the PO box if offering to the 'open public', but I've sent guitar picks to a fellow Steemian - I don't really mind considering the circumstances. Some people might feel weird about sharing personal info, but I expect the majority interest will come from fellow gardeners..

I think a seed giveaway might be a great way to gather more garden enthusiasts, as another alternative - the post payout would likely cover the shipping costs. I was able to send a few picks to the UK for a few dollars, which the recipient kindly reimbursed (which I offered to cover). There's a lot of good people out there still 😉

I'll buy some lemon drop pepper seeds. My collection is a moving box full, but I have a problem!
