Everyone should plant asparagus! So easy and so prolific. I planted some asparagus berries that were produced on one of my female plants and they sprouted! So cool (Tho I did have to remove Mama, I still thank her for her babies. I planted her in the flower bed so I could have fronds for bouquets.) Okra seems to be the plant of the year. It's a beautiful plant. I think I'll try to grow it next year. Maybe fried isn't too bad? I read if you saute in a non-stick pan dry (no oil) it won't retain it's sliminess. Here's hoping, 'cause everyone seems to love it (granted, most are from the South tho, lol!)...Hello to the kids...and the other kids. Happy gardening! :))
