Rambutan Fruit Quite Late This Year

in gardening •  3 years ago

It is already the rainy season here and our Rambutan tree is just starting to show these ripening of its fruits. If I remember it right from last year we were able to pick ripe Rambutans from May to July.

I think our tree is a bit late to bear fruit this year. I am not sure why is that or I might be wrong in remembering the exact period of time from last year. Could it be because we trimmed almost half of its branches because we built a shed below it? Could it also be because of the changing of the weather patterns?

I do not have a fruit ready for you guys to have a closer look. It is hard to reach the fruits tried to zoom in but this is the clearest shot that I can take. No one is excited to eat the fruits unlike when it was the first time, except for those neighbors who do not have a tree in their garden. I could not blame them when they see the red spiky fruit waving at them.

We already lose hope waiting for the fruits and thought it will not be producing any this year. The seedlings I grow from last year are all gone. Some given to friends and some died.

That is it my fellow garden lovers.
