You found really pretty one. I like it very much.
Just do not put soil on its neck. There you should put only stones. It is sensitive to water on that part of the body.
It will be more pretty every year, you'll see. :)

I read they are very prone to rot. Some even cut off that tap root when they are young, so it doesn't have a chance to rot. Not gonna do that though!

I keep my Astros (except asterias) on rain. So they are not so root prone (like Ariocarpus, Turbinicarpus... and some others very sensitive) if they are in mineral and when it is warm/summertime. But the neck has to be protected from soil!
