Set up the spare bedroom with a table to be able to capture the Southern sunlight more effectively for the pepper plants I am attempting to keep alive thru the Winter.
Cayenne, Habanero, Reaper, Jalapeno, Portugal, Banana and Bell peppers were all selected and given a gravel sand cover strata to try to keep the flies at bay while they reside inside in the nice warm climate.
Flowers and peppers abound. Some peppers were already growing when I moved them inside, and I have noticed a change in growth rate. Some peppers, like the jalapeno plant, were pulled from the ground for a chance at survival. It takes those plants a week or two to recover from the shock of being ripped out of the ground, but they usually do pull thru.
My jalapeno plant specifically, is over two years old now, doing this same routine to keep it alive thru the Winter. Now the stem on the plant has become woody and thick with tons of energy built up into that stock. It has started pushing out countless new leaves and joints.
Plenty of heat from these peppers to keep our food dishes warm thru the cold months. Ayeee
Updates to come. Take care y'all!
I pray to Heavenly Father.
