Afternoon steemers,
Today I have decided to share with you another clients garden here in Brisbane. We only visit this place once a month so it is always a bit of a shit fight to get everything looking great but this garden still has some nice features!
A "birds eye" view of a Bromeliad that is grown in pot. Pineapples are also technically Bromeliads
Buckinghamia celsissima (Ivory Curl) in seed, stay tuned for photos of this in flower.....they are stunning! This plant belongs to the family Proteaceae and can be killed if fertilised with high Phosphorus fertilisers, to be safe it is best to use a fertiliser with 0% Phosphorus.
Pennisetum advena 'Rubrum' (Purple Fountain Grass) is absolutly bullet proof and can be cut back hard when it starts to look messy like this one. We will prune it to about 10cm above ground level next month.
Pandanus sp. from Malaysia always makes a great statement and grows amazingly well here in Brisbane. The foliage and fruits can be eaten in many different ways depending on the species. I am not 100% which species this one is.
Pelargonium x hortorum 'Big Red' which a lot of you would call a Geranium (The name has been changed by Botanists) is very easy to grow if provided with adequate drainage. Here in Brisbane it will pretty much flower all year round.
Once again thanks for stopping by and checking out some plants :-)
Happy gardening,
Sam.
nice shot

Many plants in the Proteaceae family are native to Australia but I think plants of the Genus Protea are native to South Africa.
I will post some pics of the Ivory Curl when it erupts into flower :-)

That's funny your name has horticulture in it. Freedomcoin and I dug up his yard and made a horticulture from the dead trees left from a frost that hit is this past winter.
