Steemers!
I hope you are all well!!!
Today I share some very interesting cacti varieties from a friends property in Melbourne.
This guy has caught the cacti bug like you wouldn't believe 🤪
This narly looking crested Trichocereus is known as "TPM x SS02xPachMelbourne" and really is a sight to behold.....photos do this beauty no justice. To the left had side of the plant you can see it reverting to original form.
Pictured above are some 'Rosie1 x Ben' seedlings that will be getting thrown out as they are excess stock.....such a pity!
Some extremely nutrient deprived versions of the same as above....These will bounce back nicely after potting up and feeding.
In a future post we will be a looking at a HEAP of seedlings I will be helping pot up with my next visit to Melbourne.
Stay tuned for a post about the process in the near future!!!
Happy gardening Steemers,
Sam.

They are looking good. Do you know the mechanism behind cresting in cacti? It's fascinating
