First Winter Flower [Gardening]

Flowers are starting to bloom in the garden. These are the same ones I planted a couple weeks ago. No special fertilizers or garden soil was used. This flower seems to know how to grow better without my help.

As you can see by the label, #crocus is the name of this flower.

In this time of year it is very interesting to see which flowers will bloom first after the winter season begins to warm up again. Down the street I saw an old cherry tree starting to open its first blooms.

Seedling Update

Inside the house, the #ginger root and #turmeric are starting to bud, so I decided to plant them into peat pots, and put them on the windowsill. The ginger was a bit oversized for the little pot, even after I snapped it into this smaller piece. My goal is to work with a small growing space here. Let's see what happens when a bit of sunshine hits those budding tips.

The new #pumpkin has sprouted and is starting to compete with its sibling pumpkin. The #cilantro in the foreground is developing its first set of true leaves. Behind, the black #cumin is growing very slowly. Everything is competing for space under the grow lights.

The #cabbage seeds I planted earlier in the week are starting to sprout. They are the size of nerds candies. Hard to believe it will become as big as my head eventually.

Not shown, but I also planted some #arugula into pots. My steemit friend @halcyondaze loves growing these, and has some great articles on how to grow arugula on this website. One thing I quickly discovered when I opened my seed packages for the first time is that the wild arugula seeds are incredibly tiny. When I initially poured some out to take a look, I could not believe the number of seeds that could fit into the crease of my hand. Thousands of seeds could fill a small teaspoon. The seeds are smaller than grains of salt.

Cocrus look ao beautiful, is that flower has rise,, its look so tiny,

Yes, they are one of the smallest flowers I know that grows from a corm, which is like a bulb. All the energy is spent on that one flower for the whole plant, and then the plant hides underground for the rest of the year.

Its unique flower i guess :)
How happy you are, because can raise this flower,
I thought this still a baby 😆 bcause so cute
