Someday We're Going To Be Berry Berry Yummy ^ ^

in gardening •  7 years ago  (edited)

I guess I've been gone too long .. was just under the weather. So ... how's it going around here?

Last time, I've left some questions to ask in form of clues, I've been bored not having to be able to post so how about another round? Kindly remember ..kindly guess just ONE please. Thank you.

BUD #1Clue : The name they gave me doesn't justify the true colors of my skin. I'm darker than that and even my sap and stains would be but they must have known people seems to be taken aback with something related to black and that would suck cause studies have proven I'm pretty good at combating cancer cells, well .. at least the organic sort of me.

This is the first time, I've seen this one flower, I never thought the flowers are as innocent looking as these, like beautiful, humble bells, unaware of how delicately lovely they actually look like. These buds have been here since November last year, I guess this year's harsh winter sort of delayed it to bloom.

b9.jpg

I also found it, it's such a drunkard, for the first three months, I didn't water it as regular as these days because it was too cold I was worried it'd perish plus I've placed it in the green house and I was letting the later air out 2x a week except for last week. The moment I let it drink on a daily basis and 2x during last week's sunny show off, it seem to haste forming those bell blooms and I can't wait till they turn into fruits.

b9a.jpg

It's but the right time though because back then, no sight of pollinator. It rained the past days while I was unwell, you know which insect I caught helped pollinating these tiny bells? The ants, they were going back in and out of those bells and I have them to thank during those days. Okay .. enough about that one.

I love how perfectly imperfect this picture looks ... anyway here's the clue.

b7.jpg

BUD #2 Clue : They'd bear red and pale pink seedy/ juicy fruits. The pale pink is sweet and the red ones are often sour. The later's perfect with a banana or a vanilla sorbet.

b8.jpg

BUD #3 Clue : The fruits of this one smells like some old person's sweaty armpit. (No offense to any old person .. we'll soon walk that path in life, too.) They're pretty sour but perfect for any salad dish you could think of. I don't see it as a fruit .. for me, they're balsamico in ball sockets ^ ^.

-----0-----

BUD #4 Clue : I posted about this here yet no one guessed it right. I suppose most of you have only seen its fruit since this is how teeny tiny it is, not even half of my eenie mini pinkie. Some studies say, people with arthritis shouldn't be having a load of this but you know, the purplish version of this would just make you finish a buddha bowl of it.

This one should be a piece of cake for anyone. I think it has something to say anyway ...

b9d.jpg

BUD #5 Clue:

"I'm having an identity crisis, I'm not sure am a berry anymore .. am I a berry or nut .. I mean, not?"

-----0-----

As usual, kindly answer just one and please mention which picture are you referring to this time. Thank you.

EDIT: First and last buds have been guessed.

Spring

Fruits and Berries,
always some cherries,
and colossal buds.

All meadows are blooming,
maybe an apple,
strawberries and nuts.

Currant and gooseberry,
buffalo, red, clove or alpine,
tangerines dream me a dream.

You can't identify species
by blossoms only,
as said in the spring on the pond.

You can't identify species
by blossoms only. Yes you posted leaves as well. But your clues are not very helpful and taking a botanic guide – Gosh, long time not seen. But you pinned me for hours on board of your posting. Thank you. It was recreating.

Beautiful photos, as always. I hope you're feeling better now! Perhaps you shouldn't eat so much of that "grandpa's sweaty armpit salad"? That would make any person sick!

thank you

lol, they're just budding now haha

Hi @englishtchrivy, this is a second attempt to guess what is that fruit. Here is your description:

Clue : I posted about this here yet no one guessed it right. I suppose most of you have only seen its fruit since this is how teeny tiny it is, not even half of my eenie mini pinkie. Some studies say, people with arthritis shouldn't be having a load of this but you know, the purplish version of this would just make you finish a buddha bowl of it.

My guess, it is may be Jostaberry, looks very much like when I tried to figure out the leaves and the blossom.
From another side it has similarity with back currant too.

That is really enjoyable game, to guess the plant :)

close .. but not quite :)
thank you for trying :)

Collection of beautiful flower shots you share here, the last photo like a veg flower but not sure tho, the name will call it here is "Gbaagba" this Gbaagba Leaves always thick as monkey ear but very riched in vitamin... 😎

Of course this is a noble initiative.......It is good to have a garden hobby.....This post is probably your flower garden..........at least your every photography just awesome.....

Its the third time this year you are "under the weather.." How come? cant be the veggies :)
