This is the other half of our balcony garden. Shown here our other 2 tomato plants, 2 strawberrie plants and our 5 garlics in the other pot.
The tomatoes are taking over the balcony leaving us just enough room for our chairs and our barbecue.
Next few posts I will break down the different type of tomato plants we are growing. Along with a few tips on how much room each type will need.

I can appreciate this... we have a yard, but the fire ants would devour them.. so I have my tomato plants in pots in between my patio roses and gardenias... your plants look really good! I tried potatoes but not a decent crop.. so I am still experimenting...

We have some fire ants but not to many make the climb to the second floor (lol) We are trying garlic in a pot this year. Might try potatoes next year in tires in the corner of the balcony.

yes.. that is true... they also make square wooden boxes here... just need drainage with potatoes so they do not rot.

Looking good Eric... I might check this out for our new patio... will most likely put up railing planters as well for flowers. Something my wife always appreciates. :) I look forward to seeing some ripe tomatoes!

We have 1 railing planter box already with 2 types of chives and 2 with spices. Cannot wait for the first of the larger tomatoes to ripen.
