Homegrown Pumpkin [ColorChallenge ThursdayGreen]

in gardening •  7 years ago

This morning I've picked the biggest pumpkin from our backyard garden so far. Check out this beauty.

660 grams and almost 30 centimeters of pure organic health. I am delighted.

These photos are from two days ago when the pumpkin was still growing. You can see that it practically didn't have space to grow further.

Let's zoom in.

OK, next year we'll put it in a bigger enclosure.

There are several pumpkins still growing in this plant. Now they will have more to feed on and will be able to grow better and faster.

Enjoy your gardening, my friends.

What are going to make from it?
I really like pumpkin soup, but it is a lot of work. There are easier things to peel than a pumpkin!
Cheers,
Peter

It will probably end up in the soup. Along with homegrown young potatoes. They are growing like mad. At least the leaves are :)

The back row in this bed is all tomatoes.
