Controlling Ant Swarms on the Homestead Organically DE (Diatomaceous Earth)

in gardening •  7 years ago

Here's a quick video I made, showing my preferred method of getting rid of ant colonies. Diatomaceous Earth is a Silica powder that is not toxic to people (some even use it as a natural remedy), it won't harm my dogs, and it is cheap. DE makes an excellent border for anything you want to keep ground insects out of ie. beehives, raised beds, storage sheds, feed containers.

DT is great, I have used it alot, I even powder my plants with it to control pests. Or spray it on with water.
