Cultivation of Hot Pepper by Using Can Redemption

in gardening •  8 years ago

Some people think that planting chili must have a special land use, and maintenance is complicated. Here I only use a used paint cans as cropping media. then I put it in the back of my home kitchen. so no need to bother thinking about land.

How to plant very easily. that is :

  • Plant seeds of chili
  • Wait for the chili seeds have high 5 cm
  • Prepare Can Redemption
  • Enter the Land thereto
  • Do not forget to leave a hole in the surface of the cans
  • Once the seedlings reach 5 cm
  • Move the seedlings into the Cans
  • Flush Everyday
  • Give manure or compost once a week
  • Remove weeds that interfere with the growth of Chili
  • Very easy

The pepper plant care is easy, keep the water demand, especially during the dry season. Additionally pepper can also be exposed to pests such as caterpillars, aphids. spray using natural pesticides / organic if the pest attack.

The time required from start planting until harvest time depends on the type of chilli cultivated. usually took 2 months of the growing season. Interestingly One of pepper plants can be harvested up to 20 times, but there is also more. Here are simple ways that I can convey to plant vegetable commodities, especially chili by using less land, and by using tools that are very simple too.

Very inventive. I used to grow chili pretty much the same way in large flowerpots. I used to buy already sprouted plants though but it'll probably be more interesting to start from the seed. I might give it a try this year.

thank you @echion

Good afternoon, @hellena!
We hope you don´t mind that we dare to give you a little recommendation regarding your planting situation. It would be much better if you used pots instead of paint buckets. Pots have three essential advantages as follows:

  1. They have a completely dark coloring which impedes light irradiation.
  2. They have holes at their bottom side which enable water excess to drain off, thus the plants can´t be immersed.
  3. They are made of a special material that is not affected by light and other external influencers. We have some pots that we are using since 15 years so they are extremely durable.

Your pepper plants look great, please don´t get us wrong. However, their branching, leaf building and general growth could be still improved.

We hope you appreciate the comment and are following you for future #gardening publications.
