Here is the first handful of goji berries produced and harvest June 27 of this year. These goji berries have arrived considerably early (about one month) when comparing to last year when they first started producing.

7/28/16
By the looks of it in terms of timing and quantity this year will be multiple times than the previous year. It's really great to be able to look back and see in pictures how much progress has taken place since the last season. It is going to be really great to have such an abundance of this super-food. Not only that but the ability to have them fresh is an added bonus since for the longest time before I grew these plants I never knew what fresh gojis tasted like since the only ones I could buy were sun-dried. Let me tell you they are great both fresh and dry and they have different but great flavors.
Supposedly Goji Berry plants can live for 80 year and with mine being 3 years old this is just the beginning for them. I will hopefully get a full harvest this year of 8 pounds per plant. So far it looks good, but only time will tell.
Thanks for reading! Keep on Steeming!
Those looks great, I love picking berries

They Taste like a cherry/cranberry. They are sweet with a little tart. (very good) They will grow in zone 5 to 9 so you will be able to grow them if you decide to. They can survive -18 degrees Fahrenheit.
Thank you for the support!

Sure thing, no problem! If you can't find a goji plant locally you can go to your local health food store and buy organic dried gojiberries. Then what you want to do is get a seed tray fill will the soil of your backyard and put the entire berry in each cell in the hole you make and cover them. Keep moist or water everyday for about a month or 30 days which is on average the amount of time it takes them to germinate this way. ( Note you will see mold on the surface of the soil or around berry, This is normal and actually makes your plants stronger and resistant to disease.) Here is a blog That I did summarizing the process and is more in depth: https://steemit.com/gardening/@kepo777/my-progress-for-fresh-homegrown-goji-berries-in-my-garden-first-steemit-post-about-goji-berries

8 pounds a plant, that's a lot, I had no idea you good get so much (why are they so expensive at the store)

Probably due to their health benefits and properties, They are high in anti-oxidants and are complete in having many nutrients even trace nutrients, but I think the real reason they are so expensive is that most people think they hard to grow.

I lost a few too when I first started them. Their first year I would say is the hardest, but if they're able to get past their first year then they are very hardy plants in extreme cold and heat. I wish you the best of luck if you get another plant. Thanks so much, I greatly appreciate it!
