Diary of onion

in gardening •  7 years ago

There was that from seed of onion to onion we need two years. But I find, that we can make that we have from seeds to onion in one year. So I decide to try this.

There was 9th of March, day for roots and all what is in soil. In that day I find my mum's seeds of onion, so I decide to try. I find different pods and use soil from molehill that I find in our garden after snow melted. So I put soil in different pods and then sow some seeds. I watering it and put in warm space. In after four days I see, that first plants pick out of soil. And now, 9 days from day that I saw it was all green. More in pictures.

And all is green.

Where are instructions write that young plants is not good to transplant to other pods since are not big enough that we put it outside. But we see what is better, because in some pods I paw a lot of seeds, but in other I put only a few of them. And here are more photos from day 9.
