Continuing with a very common animal today.
The ladybird is found almost all over the world and there are more than 6000 known species.

They feed on pests such as aphids, scale insects, spider mites and butterfly larvae and are even bred as biological pest controllers.
Ladybirds and especially their larvae are also cannibals.

Especially when there are masses, the animals eat each other. The larvae that hatch first also regularly eat their conspecifics that have not yet hatched, which often leads to a loss of more than half of the eggs.

I took the pictures with Super_makro on a Huawei P 30 and have to say that the result is not bad at all.
